And That's Why I'm In This Business

When my uncle died at age 84 he was literally buried in a cardboard box, broken and destitute.

Amazingly, some 40 years earlier he’d been a very successful businessman, with an income comparable to a surgeon’s today. In the late 1950’s he had a chauffeur driven Cadillac with its own mobile telephone, which was virtually unheard of back then.

My uncle knew how to earn money, but he didn’t know how to preserve, grow and protect it!

After selling his business to enjoy an extended vacation out west he began a long financial decline. He helplessly watched the money from his life’s labor slowly slip through his fingers until there was nothing left.

For me the saddest part of this tragic story is that with just a few simple steps things could have been much different for my uncle and his family. Little did I know that the seeds for my career were being sown as I watched his life, and livelihood slowly drain away.

And that‘s why I chose to pursue a career helping successful business owners coordinate and manage their finances. I’m on a mission to ensure that my clients and their families never have to deal with the misery suffered by my uncle’s family.

Notice I said “family”.

That’s important; and here’s why.
